I spent Oscar day seeing Crazy Heart. Loved it!

Despite living in Hollywood, I haven't seen a lot of the films that were up for awards, but I did watch part of the awards ceremony. Fun in parts, but I'm glad I didn't go over the hill to watch any of it in person!

Linda, I've always wondered if the "red carpet" audience were invited?

I do want to see Crazy heart, though I was rooting for Colin Firth.

Betty, what was going on in Disneyland?

AND -- my anonymous relatives, wish you were here!

I watched the entire thing, including the Barbara Walters Special beforehand. I'm glad Sandra Bullock won Best Actress and Jeff Bridges won Best Actor. Those were the only two things I really cared about.

One thing that really upset me was they DID NOT include Farrah Fawcett or Pernell Roberts in the Memoriam segment. What's up with that?!?! Leaving them out was just not right.

My Disnelyand season pass expires in a few weeks and my son offered a chance to use it. It was really a do over as we had gone the Sunday before and Disneyland was so crowded, we went on one ride - the monorail - to get out of the park. Not to waste the trip to Orange country, we went to seven bookstores and I signed stock.

Oscar Sunday was considerable less crowded and I got to go on my favorite ride Soaring Over California. (It's really in California Adventure which is where the Disneyland parking lot used to be.)

Just as I thought -- LA is its own state!

Can't wait to get there for Left Coast Crime this week!

Was Farrah in movies, signlady, or just TV? Pardon my ignorance!

Yes, Camille, Farrah was in both TV and movies. I read an article that she was deliberately left out because her TV work was more well-known than her movie work was; and the same article said that Michael Jackson was included because he had been in a recent popular theatrical release. What's up with that? To me those are not the right reasons to be excluded/included. And they died the same day. He was a singer, not an actor, and I can't comment on his "theatrical release" as I have not seen it. I just think it was wrong all the way around. The article also said her family was upset by her omission. Ya think?!?!
