I am now the LA Pet Rescue Examiner.

How did I get there? I answered an ad placed by the website a few weeks ago. I couldn’t resist. They wanted people to write. And they wanted those people to write about pets.

That’s me.

I’ve posted a few articles already and am working on several more. As technologically challenged as I am, they’re without photos yet although I added a logo to a story yesterday. I intend to improve in many ways.

Interestingly, there is also an LA Animal Rescue Examiner. She was there first. I don’t think we’ll focus on exactly the same things, but our posts might be intermingled.

What is Well, according to its website, it’s the inside source for everything local--although it does contain national pages, too. Many local cities have their pools of Examiners, who each write on a topic in which they are designated as experts--by interest, profession or both. There are several different kinds of pet examiners. There are also many entertainment, sports and recreation, family and home, lifestyle, health & beauty, and news & info examiners--with all of their subcategories. Pet examiners are found under Family & Home.

It’s fun, but time-consuming, especially since I’m in the middle of a deadline for my next Pet Rescue Mystery, in addition to working on promoting the first in the series, BEAGLEMANIA, which will be available on March 1. But I’m enjoying it!

By the way, I will be on a blog tour, plus doing a lot of local booksignings in March. More about those later--and I’d love to have you visit me bloggily or in person.

Are you an Examiner? Do you read any topics in your area on If you were writing for them, what topic would you want to choose?

There is an Astrology and Paranormal Examiner in the Lifestyle category, Janie. Maybe they'd consider a Time Travel Examiner, too! You're right--substantiating facts might be hard... but wouldn't it be fun to try?
