Changes in Attitude and a CONTEST!

I Adoor You
They say it's a woman's prerogative to change her mind. Well, honey, can we talk? I must change mine a million times a day.

Lately, I've reconsidered the value of having a camera in your phone. At first I thought it silly, then frivolous, and now I'm absolutely in LOVE with my Blackberry's picture-taking ability. I can't count the number of times I've whipped out my phone to snap a shot.

The one above is my front door. Admittedly a little over-the-top with the fairy lights, but I love it. In fact, I adore photos of doors. There's something inviting about them.

This Little Pig

There are three wild pigs who regularly roam along Dixie Highway between Hobe Sound and Jupiter. Today I pulled off to the side of the road, got within three feet, and snapped this photo. They didn't care!

Toot-toot-tooties

My sister had this crazy idea to put our feet together. Usually, Jane and I put our heads together, but this had an equally awesome result. Guess which foot is mine? (Hint: I wore coral so I wanted coral nail polish.)

Be Ye Fishermen

Every Sunday, folks gather at the nearby public park to enjoy the beach. The fishermen cast their sandfleas out for pompano and blue fish. Often you see spinner sharks dancing and twirling in the water.

Graceful Hibiscus

At first the bushes were tall and scraggly. We had them trimmed, and I was shocked to see there were only bare branches. Now the foliage is thick, and the blossoms are breath-taking.

CONTEST and RULES So tell me...what's on your cell phone? Any photos? The winner will receive an ARC (Advance Reading Copy) of my friend Jon Land's newest Caitlyn Strong adventure--Strong at the Break. The book won't be out until June, but you'll be one of the lucky few to have this fast-paced, amazing read in time for beach reading. (I'm loving it!) You have until next Sunday to comment. You can comment as often as you like--and that will increase your changes of winning. Or you can share this post with a friend!

I have pictures of several of my third grade students. They are a delightful and creative (aka crazy fun) bunch of kids. They like to imitate their favorite rock stars, so I catch them on my phone camera.

Rats! I wish I could say what I use my cell phone camera for, but I am so in the Dark Ages that my phone (cheap Walmart phone) doesn't have a camera. If it does, I am not aware of it. I would take pictures of the flowers in the yard right now if I had one. :-)

I'm finding the same thing with my Droid X. It has an 8 megapixel camera complete with flash on it. What's on it right now are some shots of wind turbines as we were going to Naperville yesterday, and one shot of a powder blue Prius that I sent to my daughter (it's a line from a Jeff Dunham routine). But I loved having the camera in the phone so I could just grab it and shoot as we passed that Prius! There's also a shot of the gorgeous fresh eggs I got from a local farm. I was so thrilled to find a source of fresh eggs that I took a picture!

Constant pics on my cell phone...my young daughter and friends, the paradise of our life in south Florida, people at gatherings grouped by the colors they wear, my dogs laying on couch during morning meditation while I read Emmet Fox...

I have pictures of my boys on my phone right now. I plan on taking lots of different photos of things that interest me.

I just deleted my photos, but I had Giant Rose sculptures that aligned Park Avenue and pictures of the SuperMoon.

Okay, I had to turn off my computer because it was storming here--and look at all the comments! Students, flowers, wind turbines, a blue Prius, eggs, family, South Florida (yeah!), people grouped by color of apparel, dogs napping, sons,a giant rose and the Supermoon. By the way, if you are following me on Facebook, you'll have seen the ab-fab photo taken by my sister's friend of the Supermoon next to the Jupiter lighthouse. Just stunning!

Love the feet picture! I have some like that with my husband's niece from aone time we were on her grandparents' golf cart (she kept wanting it to go faster, and it doesn't!)

No pictures on my cell phone, because I don't have a cell phone! Talk about being in the Dark Ages! But right now it's really by choice; don't need it, so why have it? :)

Signlady, I thought the same. But like so many "un-necessities," once you get used to them they quickly become "necessities!"

Cyn, I never thought about photos of celbs. Interesting.

Poser, I'm with you. I have lots of sunrises since I have a big eastern exposure.

My last cell phone had random pictures of very random things on it. My kids enjoy sneaking off with my phone and taking pictures of rain puddles, leaves in the gutter, TV show screen shots, the insides of their mouths etc. There were a few photos of the baby. They must have tried to make her laugh. But I have a new phone now and there’s nothing on it (yet). I’d like to keep it that way. Who needs more clutter? But in my purse I do carry a small digital camera for those random photos ops in life :-)

Love that phrase--"random photo ops." Nice!

I used to think camera phones were silly. Then I used it once, then a second time and now I find myself using it quite often. Right now I have some pictures of my husband grilling kabobs, my grand daughter being silly and some pcitures of my husband driving and our dogs.
