Relaxation Online

It’s been more than a week now since my new Pet Rescue Mystery series debuted with BEAGLEMANIA. I’ve always been active with promoting my books, but this one tops it all, at least so far. As I discussed last week, I’ve done a lot with social networking, or at least a lot for me. I’ve set up signings, and I’m writing a lot of online articles about pets and pet rescues.

All of this leads, sometimes, to my feeling stressed. What do I do about it?

Crossword puzzles! And not just any. I do at least one or two crosswords each day online!

I tend to do the ones in local papers, such as the Los Angeles Times and the San Fernando Valley’s Daily News. Sometimes I do the ones in U.S.A. Today. Or on Yahoo. Depends on how much stress I need to alleviate by stretching my mind! (Or how much time I let myself waste...)

There are other word games with the crosswords that I dive into, too, now and then. Plus, the crosswords come in different levels of difficulty. I probably could do okay with the expert levels, but I rather enjoy seeing a letter turn red onscreen if I use the wrong one via typo or lack of knowledge. Oops!

How about you--do you participate in any crosswords or other games online?

It's good you have a release for your stress. It's both exciting and nerve wracking to have a new book come out. I hope you sell a zillion copies.

I'm addicted to Facebook Scrabble!
Want to play?

I suspect that would be right up my alley, Janie. I also suspect that I'd never get any work done with crossword puzzles plus
Scrabble!

Those are the things that relax me as well. Word games, word puzzles, and word play.

They have to be really challenging though. I like to go to Pogo.com and play the word games on there. My favorite is word whomp, some of them are really easy and some are like easy but you don't realize how easy they are until you are done and you look at it saying "OMG, that was so simple", LOL
