Sleepy in Minneapolis

I am so tired I can barely type. Last night there were two scary thunderstorms. There so much lightening, it was like a strobe light. A crawl kept going across the TV screen warning of tornados and severe thunderstorms. There was a chance of high winds and very heavy rain. With all that going on, I couldn't very well go to sleep. But I still had to get up and get dressed very early because the plumbers were coming.

Then it was off to the airport and my flight to Minneapolis for the Knit and Crochet Show. I've been going ever since.

My eyes are heavy and I'm longing for sleep. I've already been to one activity. I have certainly found my people. Everyone is so friendly.

I found the roving I need for the class I'm teaching Saturday morning and the supplies for my class tomorrow morning. And the yarn, wow. I met a woman who has 50 sheep that she shears and turns the wool into different kinds of fibers you can knit and crochet with.

Even in this tired state, I have already gotten ideas for my books and given out a lot of bookmarks.

I can't wait until tomorrow. Now, if this would post.

I feel for you. There have been a few times when I have been so very tired that when I got home I didn't even make it to my bed. I conked out on my couch or recliner. I never get sleepy or drowsy when driving but I just pass out as soon as I'm back home.
On another note, may I ask you as an author if "lightening" is correct usage? I was taught the spelling is "lightning." Language is a dynamic thing though so maybe there's been a change.

My d-i-l posted on Facebook about that thunder and lightning in Chicago, Betty--and how they was scaring both their dog and her! Enjoy your travels and the show!

Jeanette, I'm sure you are right about it being lightning.

Planner, it's amazing what a good night's sleep will do. I just took my firt class and learned some cool stuff about making foundation stitches.

Terri, I am sure you understand because you go to a lot of quilt shows, but it is so nice to be surrounded by people on the same wave length. And the shopping...

Linda, what's amazing is there storm wasn't as bad where I was as it was further north in Chicago. I was really glad the storm was over when I flew out. We did hit a few bumps as we went over the northern suburbs of Chicago.
