Many thanks!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I have a lot to be thankful for.

First and foremost, I’ll be surrounded by family. Our older son and d-i-l are in town from Chicago, plus our younger son will also be with my husband and me, even though they all have upcoming travel plans soon.

Then there are the dogs, Lexie and Mystie, who’ve been vying for a place warming my lap this week at the computer and the table as I both write and edit.

I’m thankful that I’m so busy writing. I have several books coming out next year, including HOUNDS ABOUND, my next Pet Rescue Mystery, UNDERCOVER SOLDIER, a Harlequin Romantic Suspense, and the next book in my Alpha Force miniseries for Harlequin Nocturne. One manuscript is due on December 15, and I’ve more books to write and edit. My writing is a delight!

It’s been a hard year, though, after the loss of my brother. But I’m thankful for the rest of his family, including my niece and her husband and my nephew, as well as other members of my family including my dad in Pittsburgh.

I’m thankful for my friends, a lot of whom are writers who share critiques with me.

I’m thankful that I live in L.A.--too much traffic, yes, but generally weather that’s tolerable or even great.

I’m thankful for Killer Hobbies and how much fun I have here, and for all of you who’re reading this!

There’s more, too, but I’ll stop here.

How about you? What are you particularly thankful for this year?

I'm thankful for my family and friends (you included).
For my first book coming out next year and hopefully for many, many more sales.

And, BTW, my mind's been circling around some people and things I didn't mention before even though I made it clear that my list wasn't all inclusive--like all the people who do such wonderful things to save needy animals and find them good homes.

Plus, I'm particularly thankful for my readers and love it when they communicate with me here, on FB, by email or otherwise.

I'm thankful for my family, my friends, my health and the authors that write wonderful books for me to read.

I'm thankful for my family, for our two cats, for the comfortable apartment we live in. I'm thankful for my church. I'm thankful for my writers group. I'm thankful for my friends. I'm thankful I'm a writer. I'd be thankful for my health if I didn't have an ear ache that won't clear up.

They all sound like wonderful things to be thankful for, Monica--but I sure hope your ear ache goes away!
