Last year at this time, my son’s wedding was taking up most of my thoughts. It barely registered that I had a the hardcover edition of Behind the Seams coming out and the mass market edition of You Better Knot Die. I think most of the promotion I did was aimed at Behind the Seams.
In a few weeks, I have two books coming out again - the hardcover of If Hooks Could Kill and the mass market of Behind the Seams. I found that I was going on about how beautiful the cover of If Hooks Could Kill is, but not saying much about Behind the Seams. Suddenly it hit me that I should be promoting both books
I want to include Behind the Seams in the guest blogs I’m doing around the time the books come out, but I’m not sure how to mention it. It’s not a new book, since it came out in hardcover a year ago. So what do I call it?
Should both books have equal billing? Even though the books are all stand alones, there is a certain order to them. And Behind the Seams ends on a cliff hanger that is solved in If Hooks Could Kill.
I asked the Berkley publicist and she said by all means to mention Behind the Seams in the publicity I’m doing, but she didn’t tell me how to do it.
Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
