Blogged Out

Okay, what should I blog about today?  Problem is, I don’t know!  I’m blogged out--temporarily, I’m sure.  But for now I’m out of good ideas.

The thing is, although I didn’t go back to count the number of guest blogs I’ve done over the past few weeks, there were a lot of them.  They mostly explained how I got my ideas for my two new releases, OODLES OF POODLES, my fourth Pet Rescue Mystery, and UNDERCOVER WOLF, the fourth paranormal romance in my Alpha Force miniseries for Harlequin Nocturne.  I’ve talked about them some on Killer Hobbies, too.

Last week I blogged at Killer Hobbies about chatting online.  Since then, I participated in the other chat I’d mentioned that was a much larger group of people, and my screen kept scrolling with lots of posts that sometimes formed a conversation that I could follow but often didn’t.  Fun anyway, but a little grueling.

I thought about blogging about my events last weekend.  It started out with a romance tea at the Huntington Beach Library on Friday, along with other authors as special guests.

That was followed in Saturday by a really fun signing at the Mysterious Galaxy in Redondo Beach, California, along with a whole bunch of other local authors.

And then there was another signing at the Bookstar in Studio City, California.  A Bookstar is a Barnes & Noble store that’s in a converted theater building.  That particular signing was also fun because it took place right after the nearby Los Angeles Romance Authors meeting, so some friends popped over to say hi and even buy books.  In addition, a really delightful representative of the American Humane Association, the organization featured in OODLES OF POODLES, hung out there with her certified therapy dog, and other people with dogs came in, too.

Next weekend promises to be a lot quieter--a good thing, since one of the reasons I feel blogged out is that I’m still working under two deadlines.  I’m making progress but I still have a lot to do.

So, what else should I talk about here?  Well, I always like to say something about my dogs, so, hi, Lexie and Mystie!

Hey--I just realized that I do have the makings of a blog post here.  Maybe not my best, but I think it’ll do.

Feel free to comment on it... I think!

I agree, Janie, especially since they've been giving me orders this morning... as usual!

I'm so glad that BookStar is still there! I used to live in Studio City on Hoffman Street which a block south of Ventura Blvd and visited often back then. Good memories!

Yes, Bookstar is still there, Chrystle, and it fortunately seems fairly busy every time I go in--possibly because so many other bookstores in the area haven't survived.

Thank heavens Bookstar is still there. The Barnes & Noble near me recently closed.
