Mini Post

It’s going to be a short post this week. I just got the edits for Yarn To Go, the first book in the second series I’m going to be writing. And my editor needs them back in a week. Luckily, her suggestions were all minor, so I don’t have to rewrite or rearrange major chunks of the manuscript. But I still go through every page.

It’s been so long since I turned it in - last July - that it almost feels like reading a book somebody else wrote. I must admit I really like this manuscript. My editor really liked it, too.

I am very glad to be working with her. She makes excellent suggestions which I almost always take.

I am still working on the shrug I wrote about last week. I’m not losing stitches anymore, but the yarn is still giving me trouble. Last night as I was doing some late night crocheting to relax my mind, there was a yarn issue. I had just started a new skein and after a row the strand of yarn abruptly ended. I thought I’d done something wrong, but it was the yarn. It just broke off. I got it straightened out and am on the last skein.

Hopefully next Thursday, we will be welcoming a new blog sister to our group. Anne Canadeo writes the Black Sheep mystery series and will be a great addition to our lineup.

I am hoping to get the blog updated as soon as I finish with my deadline. I think I have finally figured out how it works. Fingers crossed I'm right.

One week sounds like really quick turnaround time. May the editing go smoothly and quickly.

I'm really looking forward to reading your next series!

Planner, I was hoping for two weeks. But I think I'll manage fine with just one.

Katreader, I really like the characters in the yarn retreat series and the location. It is nice spending time there, even if it's only in my imagination while I'm working on the manuscript.

Obviously I'm not the only one who's busy, Betty! Glad that your editor liked your manuscript and made good suggestions. Will look forward to your updating our blog whenever you can. I admire you for even undertaking it!

I like Anne Canadeo! Good to hear she's joining you.

The robot proof words I've been given are 8765 edinggie -- sounds almost like an address, doesn't it?

Anonymous, those robot proof words are so hard to see. We are very glad that Anne is joing us and that Chrystle Fielder is with us now, too.
