Spring Cleaning

I am waiting hear from my editor about the synopsis for the next Yarn Retreat Mystery. And edits for the next crochet mystery, Knot Guilty should be coming soon. I’m on the verge of starting to do promotion for Silence of the Lamb's Wool. Isn't the cover great? I love the tag line Foul Play in Monterey. In the meantime I am taking the time to clear out some stuff, well, a lot of stuff. It has been years of stuff coming in and not too much going out.

All that has changed. No more is coming in, but lots is going out. I guess I have just turned a blind eye and never noticed it all accumulating. Like why do I have a 2010 copy of People Magazine? Now, I have started making almost daily stops at the drive thru Goodwill donation place.

It is so nice to see an empty spot where there used to be a pile of junk. Right now for the first time in quite awhile I have a clear view of my computer screen instead of having to look over the pile of papers.

The amazing thing is that when you clear stuff out, the energy in the room changes. I know that I will never be one of those people who has every surface clear of clutter, but the idea of thinning it out is freeing. And an adventure. I keep finding all kinds of cool stuff I never knew I had.

Great cover, Betty! And I admire your determination to organize. Send a little of it my way!

Linda, it is so freeing to let go of things.

The cover is beautiful!

I need to clean out, too--you are inspiring me. I wish you many clean surfaces!

Planner, the hard part is to keep going on it day after day. The cool part is finding things I didn't know I had. I found the neatest book about the origins of everyday things. Of course, I spent a lot of time looking at it instead of clearing out stuff.
