Unlucky Charms Debuts

Hey, my blog this week isn't about dogs!  Well, not directly.  I wanted to talk about the debut of my third Superstition Mystery, UNLUCKY CHARMS.  And as I mentioned last week, it has dogs in it like everything I'm writing these days!

Its main dog is Pluckie, the lucky black and white spaniel-terrier mix owned by protagonist Rory Chasen.  Rory's romantic interest, Police Chief Justin Halbertson, also owns a dog, Killer, a Doberman.  There are other dogs in UNLUCKY CHARMS, too.

This time, the murder suspect Rory needs to clear is... herself!  She had to investigate on behalf of friends in the first two books in this series, but this time she's been feuding with the woman who is killed, and a new pet-related dog toy, a rabbit with a large foot, is found with the body.

Anyway, it was fun to research, fun to write, and fun now that it's a published and available novel.  As always, I'm glad to be here at Killer Hobbies, and I'm also on a blog tour promoting UNLUCKY CHARMS, a Great Escapes Virtual Book Tour.  That involves a lot of reviews, plus some interviews and blog posts from me.  It's been fun so far, and it continues for another week. And I'm also guesting on other blogs.

It's always fun when a print book first appears in a bookstore.  The Bookstar near me--which is a former theater that's now part of Barnes & Noble--had copies on the lay-down day.  And my husband, who was traveling, emailed me a picture of a display holding UNLUCKY CHARMS at a bookstore in Bar Harbor, Maine!

So... wish me good luck that UNLUCKY CHARMS has good luck!
