Penultimate Week of 2016

Yes, it's the penultimate week of 2016.  Next to last.  One more to go.  And the holiday season remains quite busy for me.

I've been continuing my edits on my first K-9 Ranch story for Harlequin Romantic Suspense and should get the manuscript in by at least the extended deadline.  Meantime, parties continue, as do visits with friends and family.

And yes, I admit it.  I've actually and occasionally been the one in our house to turn up our thermostat to increase the heat, though I also turn it down a lot.  That's here in L.A. where the nights get chilly at times, but nothing at all to compare with those in other areas.

What else is going on?  Well, recently, I've done online chats, and blogs at other sites, often including book giveaways.  Mostly they've included UNLUCKY CHARMS, my latest Superstition Mystery, as well as some good luck items like heads up pennies and shamrocks and ladybugs.

I'm also continuing to consider my upcoming deadlines, not just the one about to occur, and worrying about how 2017 is going to treat me.  But I'll handle them somehow.

For now, I hope your holidays--and mine!--are fun and continue to be filled with friends and family, including pets.

And enjoy your last two weeks of this year.

I live in Los Angeles too and my electric bill increased because I've to turn on the heat in the mornings as a result of the cold nights. Happy holidays to you!

Our thermostat stopped working for a while last night till my husband changed the batteries--and it was really chilly around here for a while. Happy holidays to you, too!
