Twas A Few Days Before Christmas

The weather here turned chilly and I heard that Jakey needed a hat.  One of the cool things about being able to crochet is that I was able to whip up a beanie for him.  I actually found a website that gave instructions on how to figure out a pattern for different sized heads.  Even so, I wasn't sure how it would fit or if he would wear it.  I heard he'd not a hat fan.

But it fit and he kept it on.  Yay!

Meanwhile I've been trying to write while on the road.  I had to spend a couple of days going around with my son this week.  The first day I manage to write ten pages despite moving from one office to another and ending up having to listen to construction work in the background.

The challenge the second day was trying to concentrate in the office kitchen area with people talking and the TV.  I got some more pages done, but I'm not sure if they're any good.  But at least I have something to rewrite.

I have to admit it is nice to be back working on my desktop PC .  I've had the MacBook for two years now and it's great to be able to write on the run, but there is nothing like hiding away in a room and just getting lost in what I'm writing.

I hope everybody has a happy holiday!
