I work as a teaching artist as well as a museum educator, and I often see people who do something really well just can't see the detail in it any more.

The only thing I'd add to your advice is to TRY IT! Do it yourself, following your own written instructions or notes, and see if you missed anything. Get someone else who's never done it to try it too. I do this for every project and use the results as samples for the class.Jennwhitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13058690307851087073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7731159552335760887.post-86947907701380102462012-08-12T20:32:08.056-04:002012-08-12T20:32:08.056-04:00This is all great advice. When I write Photoshop tutorials I try not to assume anything - not that people know where the tool I'm referring to is, that they know how to close it, or even what it looks like. I write all that in to my tutorials for which I am regularly thanked.

The only other bit of advice I'd add to what you said is TRY IT. Follow your own directions and see if it works. Then get someone who's never done it to try it. (My poor kids run when they hear, "honey, come here and try something!")Almost every time I find I'd skipped something that makes a difference!Jennwhitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13058690307851087073noreply@blogger.com
