I must admit it was far more satisfying to figure it out myself. The cool thing about having the kindle app on my phone is that all the covers showed up in color. I tried reading on it, and was amazed how much I liked reading on the small screen. I am going to buy a knitting book on either nook or kindle. It will be interesting to see how that works out.Betty Hechtmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14652848311122102223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7731159552335760887.post-11836380989233084282013-06-07T14:43:22.325-04:002013-06-07T14:43:22.325-04:00Linda, once I worked out the kindle problem last n...Linda, once I worked out the kindle problem last night, I tried reading with it. Uninstall and try again. It took some playing before I got to the right place to uninstall the kindle app. Then I installed it all over again. And it worked!Betty Hechtmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14652848311122102223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7731159552335760887.post-66376895977075103232013-06-07T14:33:36.396-04:002013-06-07T14:33:36.396-04:00The newer models of the Kindle work much better an...The newer models of the Kindle work much better and are friendlier than the original version, but it does sound like you'll be happier with using your smart phone as a reader once you get the Kindle app to work. My experience with Amazon's customer support has been different from yours--they have been exceedingly nice to me and sometimes they even stray from their policy just to make me happy.

That's a great question about how the younger generation deals with technology frustration. I would guess they have a good network of friends to answer questions and are expert at searching the Internet for solutions.Plannerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00941066763360063332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7731159552335760887.post-8855098243037499462013-06-07T14:17:32.682-04:002013-06-07T14:17:32.682-04:00Having just gotten my first smartphone a couple of...Having just gotten my first smartphone a couple of weeks ago, I'm afraid I can't help you, Betty, other than to echo what Rebecca said and suggest that you visit the applicable phone store and ask for help.Linda O.
