A Busy Time of Year

Can it be the end of the first week in December already? I am sure I’m not the only one who feels the last month, well, really all of the year has gone by incredibly fast. Maybe because Thanksgiving was late this year, but it seems like the whole Christmas thing is coming way too quickly.

I have said before that I do a good job of living in the moment, but somehow I always think the future is going to stay in the future. I am always surprised when those future things start being close to now.

I got an extension on KNOT GUILTY, which is great, but in the same email, my editor mentioned sending me the edits for SILENCE OF THE LAMB’S WOOL next week. I know what that means. She’s going to want them back by the first of the year.

With SILENCE OF THE LAMB’S WOOL it is more than just rewriting. I need to add the patterns and the recipes, which means knitting and cooking.

We’re putting the finishing touches on putting BLUE SCHWARTZ AND NEFERTITI’S NECKLACE out as an e-book. The title is probably going to be changed to STOLEN TREASURE and be listed as A Blue Schwartz Mystery. I saw the proposed cover today and it is really great. The cool thing about putting out an e-book is that once everything is in place, it doesn’t take long to make it available. I think it will be some time in December.

It is almost time for my evening with the book forum at the Tarzana Cultural Center. A large sign board faces Ventura Boulevard listing my book and me and the date. It is almost like being in one of my books because a scene in FOR BETTER OR WORSTED takes place there. Actually, a yarn bomber leaves big crocheted hearts hanging from their gazebo. I’m going to be there for their holiday party and their discussion of my book. I was thinking it would be neat if I could bring them an actual crocheted heart, but first I have to figure out how to make one. And find the time.

And January is just around the corner now. I am taking part in a panel at the Santa Monica library in January. When I said yes, it seemed like way off and now it isn’t. The next weekend I’m going to be at a mystery luncheon in Cerritos. It is a very nice affair with about 15 authors. I can’t believe that it is almost here, too.

I think my plans to make Christmas presents for everyone just went out the window. Thank heavens for online shopping that’s open 24/7!

Planner, We're working on the cover for Stolen Treasure right now. I am looking forwward to seeing what happens with the book in an e version. It opens the door to me writing more of them, too.

Is _Silence of the Lamb's Wool_ the second book in your Casey Feldstein series? I read _Yarn to Go_ last week and hope there will be more. Also looking forward to _Knot Guilty_. I don't mean to rush you, since you already sound plenty busy. I'll just be thrilled when the books are out. :)

Sarah, yes Silence of the Lamb's Wool is the second Casey Feldstein book. It will come out next July.

Knot Guilty will come out next November. I am so glad you are enjoying the books. That's why I write them.
