Last week I
blogged here about life after edits and getting back down to writing the book
that's due under my next deadline. I
actually did get a little bit written... and then there were further interruptions. Not bad ones, but interruptions nonetheless.
I received
the manuscript I'd been editing back for its final run-through while I was out
of town at the family wedding I mentioned, and of course it's on a tighter
deadline than my next manuscript, so my writing has again been interrupted. Oh, well.
It hopefully won't take me long for this last edit.
Puppy stuff
remains time-consuming, though. It's all
good and I enjoy it, but I have to plan when I'm not playing with little Cari
or taking her out or working on initial training--or spending quality time with
her "big sister" Mystie who sometimes plays with Cari but often has
to fight off her playful nips.
Then
there's more family stuff and other plans and... okay. Enough complaining now. Once more, I'd better get back to those edits
so I can once again dig into my writing.
And by the
way, I'm heading to The Golden Age of Circus one of these nights to see a show
of how circuses used to be--sort of. It
includes a life-size puppet of an elephant!

The puppy is adorable. I can't wait to hear about the elephant puppet.
Thanks, Betty. Cari's into everything but definitely huggable.
There were actually two elephant puppets--a mama and a baby. They interacted with the performers--very cute! And lots of amazing acrobatics at this circus show.
