I was going to write about my birthday, Passover and Easter, but all that changed when we went out to dinner and my son got sick at the table. I won’t go into gory details, but he had a coughing attack and it looked like next stop emergency hospital.
It is amazing how truly nice some people can be. The restaurant is one that my son and I used to have lunch at all the time, so they know us. But even so, I appreciated how they went out of their way to try to help him, and didn’t hustle us out of there.
He finally felt okay enough to get in the car. We stopped and got him hot water and lemon, which helped him even more, and he decided home was a better option than the hospital.
Other than being exhausted by his attack, he seemed all right when we got back to our house.
It left me a little exhausted, too. So for now, that’s all I have to say.

Oh, Betty, what a difficult experience. But I'm glad your son seemed better when you got home, and I hope he's fine now. Belated happy birthday!
Scary. Glad he's okay.
Thanks, Linda and Terri. And yes, Terri, it was scary.
I hope all is well, Betty and that you'll have no more such scares!
Betty, keep us posted. You both are in our prayers.
Thanks for the good thoughts, Camille and Joanna.
Max seems fine now, other than the lingering effects of an upper respitory thing. What a relief! He feels well enough to go to the Dodger game.
Glad he's okay and things turned out well. Not a good way to spend the holiday weekend, but sounds like it could have been so much worse. Hope the rest of the weekend goes well for you.
Thanks for the good wishes, Mason. I hope the rest of your weekend is good, too.
