found the notice stuck to my mailbox. The Volkswagon people are coming back to film another commercial. I guess they must have been happy with that house down the street they used last time. Well, and the whole street. Because no matter what the notice said, they used the whole street.
This morning the catering trucks were already parked across the street. It was a step up from last time. Then there was just a single truck with a window to dispense food. This time it was several trucks and they set up a whole cooking station along the curb. They set up a buffet and seemed to be barbecuing stuff. I wonder if it means the commercial is for a fancier Volkswagon.
Today was just the set up day. There were only a few trucks down the block and a small crew. I went by the house they’re using and a whole wall of fake greenery had been built along the front of the yard. I saw the star car. It was a shiny black wagon. I think it was a Passat, but I’m not a car expert.
Friday is when all the action will happen. This time I’ll be watching with much more interest since Knot What It Seams has a TV production going on in it. So, all my nosiness could be considered research.
I’ll be checking out the off duty motor officers who handle security since one of my characters Adele might be dating one. I’ll be looking at the details, like how everybody is dressed. And see what they are actually serving for lunch. There is supposed to be a dog in the commercial. I’d really like to see how things go for the pup. Someone I know is involved with that skateboarding bulldog who was in the Rose Bowl parade. I heard he had his own trailer.
It is so much fun to see my quiet street fill up with excitement.
What about you? Any unexpected excitement shown up in your life?

Interestingly, Betty, we received a filming notice yesterday, too. Looks as if a music video is going to be filmed down the street today.
Linda, I hope they're filming inside unless they're doing Singing in the Rain.
We don't get any real excitement on our street. We live in the very back of a large developement ( a mile from the main road) so we have very little traffic.
Betty of course keeping an eye on the happennings is definitley reseach for the new book. Who knows you may see something that you can use in any book.
I would love to watch something like that.
I'm fairly sure they're filming inside, Betty, but I'm not about to walk the dogs down the street to find out!
What fun - I would be people watching all day long.
Nancy, quiet is nice, too.
I did most of my watching from the window. My dog expects her walk rain or shine so I checked things out. But by then they were packing up.
Miss Merry, the people watching was a little limited due to the rain. They still had the food set up in my neighbors yard, but they had to add a canopy. Everybody was in rain gear.
It seems like there were a number of star cars. I almost hit one of them when I was going to the gym this morning.
