Halloween Crafts

Thank you Terri Thayer for inviting me to guest post here today.

You may know me as the best-selling author of the Maternal Instincts Mysteries Series: Bundle of Trouble, Motherhood is Murder and Formula for Murder but I am also a mother of three and with Halloween just around the corner, I’ve got a lot of fun Halloween crafts planned for kids.

Crafting with kids over the holidays is a great way to keep them busy and out of trouble. Nowadays with a home PC and printer you can make any craft just from your desktop. For Halloween designs we searched “Halloween printables” and came up with too many to use. Fortunately, my 8 year-old is good at making decisions!

We used colored construction paper, scissors, glue, and markers and were able to create a wide variety of ghosts, bats, witches, pumpkins and skeletons that the kids put on my windows and doors.

For extra Halloween fun we visited the pumpkin patch on Monday, now on my doorstep sits a princess pumpkin (thanks to my 8 year-old), a pirate pumpkin (created by my 4 year-old) and one that is…well….one that is a bit indistinguishable (oh dear – that one was created by my 2 year-old!)

Happy Halloween!

Welcome, Diana! Your Halloween preparations sound especially fun. I'll bet your kids love all that you do--especially because you do it together!

Welcome to Killerhobbies, Diana. Halloween is a big deal where I live. We always get at least a couple of hundred trick or treaters.

Dana - My 4 year old (Tommy) just informed that we haven't done a mummy yet or a zombie for the window!

Love seeing the picture of the three of them together!
I posted earlier but don't see it here. Must have gone to blog limbo.

Lucky kids you have with a Hallowe'en ready mom!
