As I’ve posted on Facebook, three weeks from yesterday is the official launch date of my third Pet Rescue Mystery, HOUNDS ABOUND.
That means I’m in preparation mode. I’ve been setting up some guest blogs, and I’m delighted that my publicist at Berkley Prime Crime is setting up more. As a result, I need to figure out what to say on a few different blogs that some of the same people may read. They may get tired of my repetitiousness, but in the past I’ve managed to phrase things differently or put different spins on what I’m doing to get blog readers to keep on reading. Or so I hope.
I’ve also got several events to look forward to. The first will be this weekend, although HOUNDS ABOUND will not yet be available--but my bookmarks showing the cover should be. The event is the first Pasadena LitFest, in Pasadena, CA.
Later this month I’ll be on a panel in at the Ojai Library in Ojai, CA, for the Ojai Word Fest. And all of these will occur before HOUNDS ABOUND even comes out.
Will there be more? A lot, especially next month after the HOUNDS ABOUND launch.
Good thing I got an extension for my next Pet Rescue Mystery! It’s actually close to being done, but I do like to have critiquers check it over it before I send it in.
At least this month I can still breathe. Am I looking forward to next month? Of course.
But just ask me then, after it starts, if I can still breathe...!

I find it really helps me to break things down, daily or weekly, and just concentrate on what is most immediate, you know? Good luck with the launch!
Thanks, Mollie! I do break things down, too, but need to know what's upcoming to prepare for it.
I break it down into 'babystep' pieces of a project and write everything down. I try to review my list often. I revise alot, it seems!
That's a good way not to feel overwhelmed, Shirley--and knowing you've got the flexibility to revise must help, too. My calendar changes a lot!
Knowing you, you'll be breathing just fine.
Your upcoming events sound great. Have fun!
Good luck Linda! Remember to breathe! Eckhart Tolle is wonderful when it comes to advice about living in the present moment. All will be well!
