Does that
stop my mind from coming up with new ideas?
Never!
An idea for
a new cozy mystery series popped into my mind the other day. I’ve been fleshing it out a bit, although I
haven’t started putting it into any kind of proposal form. That’s in addition to another idea that’s
been developed a little farther, but I haven’t had time to delve into it much,
either.
I’m hoping
that one or both of these ideas matures into a new series. If not, I’m sure I’ll have other ideas to
work on. My mind never stops! And most of the time, I’m glad about it.
Coming up
with additional ideas fits very well with my favorite quote, one I’d love to
know who to attribute it to but don’t.
It’s: “Reality is only for those
who lack imagination.”
Okay, I
have to admit that I do let a bit of reality intrude on my life. Who doesn’t?
And certain parts of it, like family--including dogs, of course--are
worth the intrusion. But imagination is
a huge part of my life.
How about
yours? Do you rely on reality, or on
your imagination, or both?

How exciting! I love it when I receive creative nudges from the Universe. Look forward to hearing about it once it's fully fleshed out. I like Agatha Christie's quote - something like "the best ideas happen when I am doing dishes..." XO Chrystle
I don't think I'd heard that quote before, Chrystle, but I like it!
I know what you mean about ideas showing up, Linda. While I was going through the copy edit for Yarn to Go, the plot for the next crochet mystery dropped into my mind.
