Most of my
writing time recently has been on the first two books in my upcoming miniseries
for Harlequin Romantic Suspense. Its
theme is a K-9 ranch, and I'm looking forward to the publication of the first
one, SECOND CHANCE SOLDIER, in March 2018.
Now, my
mind has moved in a different direction: to the plotting and writing of my
ninth, and final, Harlequin Nocturne about Alpha Force, a covert military unit
of shapeshifters. How do I know it'll be
the final? The entire Nocturne series is
ending at the end of 2018.
Would I
consider writing more and self-publishing them?
Probably not. I've had fun with
Alpha Force, but I suspect my final Nocturne will be the last story in that
series. I'm also having fun with the
other books I'm writing, plus, as always, I have new ideas nudging their ways
into my mind.
Meanwhile,
my most recent published book was the eighth in that series. PROTECTOR WOLF was a June 2017 release. And on top of that, it's now featured in a
2-in-1 volume with another Nocturne about shapeshifters, along with DESERT
WOLF, which was written by Linda Thomas-Sundstrom. The 2-in-1 is a new release this month.
So... for
now, I'll enjoy my possibly final story with Alpha Force. Of course the shifters are mostly werewolves,
and they all have cover animals, so they go well with my theme of writing about
dogs.
And when
I'm done with this one? It'll be time to
write the fifth cozy mystery in my Barkery & Biscuits series!
