The chocolate Santas are half price. The radio station playing non stop Christmas music since before Thanksgiving has gone back to pop. A Christmas Carol and It’s a Wonderful Life are not playing on any channel. All signs that Christmas is over.
We almost had a white Christmas here in Tarzana. As it is there is lots of snow visible on the San Gabriel mountains and major highways are closed because of snow in the mountains. It was just heavy rain and strong winds here.
Today it barely got to 50 degrees which is like below zero for Southern Californians. The wind was blowing some kind of hard berries off a tree and it made so much noise I thought there was someone on the roof.
We’ve had the shortest day of the year and now they start getting longer again. Everything in my yard is green from all the rain we’ve had. I don’t hear anyone talking about drought.
In a few days a new decade will begin. The years seem to spin by in a flash. Every now and then I have a few moments of boredom and time seems to slow down. I am most grateful.
This past year has had a lot of challenges and I’m hoping the coming year is filled with better things for me and everyone else.
And now it’s back to writing. Is Veronica Blackstone losing her mind or is someone trying to make her thinks so?
So, Happy New Year!

When will we meet Veronica ? How about our old friend Molly--it must be her turn to star again ! I agree, it has been a fast and different sort of year, and hopefully the next will be smooth and happy for all ! Wishing the best to you and your family.
