Swamped

Okay, I'm busy.  I've gotten some edits back to do on one of my upcoming books --fast. Not a surprise, but it takes time and concentration.  And then I have to modify a manuscript I submitted a while back for another upcoming book because the laws in California changed.  It partly involves a pet store.

And then there are my two upcoming deadlines for additional books.

I better not spend much time here blogging, although I always enjoy it. But at least I'm at my computer and can keep on writing and editing--as long as my pups sleep and don't start giving me orders!

How busy are you?

Interesting about having to change a manuscript because the law changed. There is so much to keep track of. I hope your pups let you get your work done. With me, it's a cat wanting to cuddle while I'm trying to type.

I am busier than I thought I would be. I had more time to read before the pandemic: at the bus stop, on the bus, in coffee shops, waiting for the movie to start, ... Now I read at home but I don't have that much time. I've discovered virtual author talks. Authors are my rock stars. I go to a few author talks every night. I love it. I have learned so much and been introduced to so many authors.

I had a character defying the law as it previously was, Betty, and it turned out that fiction was real! A lot of real people in the same situation were getting around the old law, and so it was changed. And I wanted my story, though it's fiction, to deal with the law as it now exists.
Right now, my pups are sleeping at my feet so no problem getting things done--at this moment. How fun that your kitty wants to cuddle!

Virtual author talks sound like a lot of fun, chkntza. But I gather they're time consuming. Enjoy! And enjoy reading sometimes, too.
