Gotcha Day

 

            If all goes well, and I certainly hope it does, today will be Gotcha Day for our new Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy!  She’s the ruby coloration, all red, compared with the other main Cavalier colorations of Blenheim—red and white—tricolor, and black and tan. My first ruby! I’ve had Blenheims and tricolors, and my current pup Cari is a tricolor. 

            We’ll be deciding on the puppy’s name once we see her, although we do have some favorite possibilities picked out. We met her when she was only a couple weeks old, so her personality will be very different from then. 

            Not sure what our Cavalier Cari will think about having another pup in the house. It’s been months since we lost Mystie, and Cari is such an attention sponge she might have a hard time getting used to a bit of competition again, although we plan to continue to spoil Cari too. 

            Meanwhile, yes, I’m writing, working on my second Alaska Untamed Mystery for Crooked  Lane, under my pseudonym Lark O. Jensen. Number one in the series, BEAR WITNESS, will be published in just a few weeks, so I’m also working on publicity for it. I’m delighted to say it’ll be the focus of a Great Escapes blog tour starting in May too. 

            Also in May will be my Harlequin Romantic Suspense book GUARDIAN K-9 ON CALL, so I’ll be publicizing it as well. 

            So yes, I’m busy with my writing, but will definitely make time to take care of, and train, the new pup. I’ve got an interesting and fun time coming up!
