Why do I call this “back”? Because I
just returned from a trip to visit family in Indiana. We spent a few days there partly to celebrate several birthdays—
The family has been installing a
swimming pool behind their house, and though it’s not completely finished it
can be used for swimming so the celebration was partly there.
My writing? Didn’t get a lot done but
I brought the partial manuscript I’ve been working on for the second book in my
Alaska Untamed Mysteries and did get some editing done. Now that I’ve returned,
I’ll get more done.
Oh, and if you’ve been reading my
posts you know that my puppy Roxie is pretty young. She’s an imp and I sometimes
call her Miss-Chief—mischief. And fortunately, our younger son doesn’t live far
from us in California and he puppy- and dog-sat while we were gone for Roxie
and Cari.
We’re home with them now. Had a
great time and are happy to be back with our canine family too.
Now… back to that manuscript.

It's always nice to visit family. I bet your puppies were glad to see you.
My son, father and father-in-law had birthdays three days in a row. Each one got their favorite cake. Built some wonderful memories. Always wonderful to celebrate with family and friends.
It was wonderful to visit family, Betty. And yes, our pups were glad to see us when we got home, but our younger son probably spoiled them even more than we do!
We had three birthdays in a row in my family too, Sally--my older son's, my brother's and mine. The celebrations were fun too, although my brother unfortunately is no longer with us.
