An End and a Beginning

It's my last blog of the year and I almost forgot about it. The holidays throw me off and all of the last few days have felt like the weekend but they weren't.

I am already longing for normalcy and it will be even more so by the time New Year's rolls around.  It has gotten better as I've gotten older but the highs from all the rush and excitement leading up to the holidays followed by the hollow feeling drops when it's all over are hard to deal with.

I was glad to sit outside this morning and catch a spot of sunlight.  It's only be a few minutes, but the days are getting longer.

It's time to buy a new calendar book and think about writing 2025 on everything.

I am finishing up going through MURDER BY THE HOOK, so glad that I have had this chance to go through it again.  Then it will be off to my editor just as DEATH AMONG THE STITCHES comes out.

Who knows what the new year will hold.  Fingers crossed it will be something good.

Happy New Year!

Good morning -- I know what you mean about the days being mixed up -- a holiday always seems like a Sunday and it's hard to remember which day is which. We had a good holiday -- the grandkids wrapped up in the afghans I'd made and seemed very happy.

There was the most beautiful pink sunrise this morning -- I woke to a rosy glow in the bedroom.

Looking forward to getting your new book on Jan. 7 -- and, of course, eagerly awaiting the next Hookers book.

Enjoy your day.

Patty, the pink glow sounds beautiful. No pink glow here today. It's gloomy and drizzling. It's been very dry here, so the moisture is welcome.

Enjoy your day!
