As I’ve been saying for a while, I’ve been writing the first story in a new mini-series for Harlequin Romantic Suspense. And in case you’re wondering—which, if you know me, you shouldn’t be—there are dogs in it!
Just for fun, I also sent copies of
the manuscript’s first draft to a couple of friends I saw at a recent writers’
meeting, and yesterday we got together and they gave me their comments.
Fortunately, they both seemed to like it. But yes, I have some editing to do.
As I write this, things are fairly
normal. I’m sitting at my computer, with one dog on the floor under my feet and
the other on a chair beside me. They inspire me!
And I’m also working on plotting
something else that’s new. Slowly. Not sure where it’ll go or when it’ll get
there. But that’s me. My mind is always working on fiction and fun.

Good morning -- Sounds like you are keeping very busy -- that's good!!
Hope all the fires are now a thing of the past -- I did see on the news yesterday that fires were popping up around San Diego. The rebuilding is going to be a mammoth undertaking.
It is cold but January is always the coldest month here. Rain is predicted for the weekend -- haven't had a drop since August.
Enjoy your day, your dogs and your writing!
Good morning, Patty. Yes, I nearly always manage to stay busy. And I keep watching the trees, especially the palm trees, near me to see how windy it is. Not too bad now. Hopefully there'll be no more fires. And we're hoping for rain over the weekend too. It's been ages since LA had any rain of note. But they keep changing the forecast and I'm not anticipating a lot.
Enjoy your day too!
I love when pets are included in stories. It just makes it more fun to read. I connect with it completely. Thank you for your hard work.
Pets in stories? Absolutely, Sally! Our characters can love them and be helped by them--just like ours in real life. And thank you for reading my blog and commenting!
