Yes, the year is going fast. Its eighth month has arrived!
I don’t really have anything new and
exciting to report here today. I did attend a Sisters in Crime LA meeting last
weekend. I haven’t been going to a lot
of writers’ meetings lately, so it was fun to see the people there and hear a
really fun panel answer a lot of questions about—yes, their writing.
And yes, unsurprisingly I am still
working on my Harlequin Romantic Suspense story. I’m making progress, a good
thing.
And my dogs? Nothing particularly
new there either. They’re still my adorable, snuggly babies.
We’re having special guests next
weekend and attending some potentially fun L.A. area events with them. Looking
forward to it. Maybe I’ll even get some story ideas!

Good morning -- My life is sort of like yours -- nothing too fascinating going on at the moment -- you write, I crochet. I did find a couple new patterns to try so that is always fun, though I tend to use and reuse a few favorites.
My daughter got the DNA results for her dogs -- they are quite a mixture. I added it as a comment on your post of last week.
Enjoy your company and whatever fun things you find to do.
One exciting, or at least upsetting, thing that happened this morning was a strange message that came up on my computer that wouldn't let me get into the rest of it, Patty. I finally figured out how to delete it so things appear okay, for now at least. Hope it stays that way!
I saw your comment about your daughter's dogs' DNA and commented about it! What a great-sounding combination!
Enjoy your crocheting and the rest of your week.
August is my least favorite month of the year. I'm over summer (which is hard because I live in Florida) and I'm tired of everything summer. Clothes, food, staying light long into the evening. I could go on. Thankfully, I realized a few years ago that I like August better if I ignore it and move onto fall. I put out a few decorations. Buy some fall-like object for my house and start thinking about holidays.
I'm also working on a very cute blanket with a fall theme. It all helps. So, let me be possibly the first to say Happy Fall, y'all!
Hey, early fall sounds great to me, Sally! I don't particularly like the heat that seems to be around most of August. I do like September and the rest of fall. So, Happy Fall to you too!
