Happy 2016

I am sure I’m not the only one who thought last year went by in a flash. I have barely gotten used to writing 2015 and it’s 2016. Sometimes I wish I was bored for a little while as it seems to make time standstill.

I don’t usually make resolutions. I would like to manage my email accounts better in the coming year. One of my accounts has 13,000 emails. I keep deleting and just as fast new junk mail shows up. I’d also like to spend more time on social media and figure it all out before it changes again.

I would like to get a head start on promoting my upcoming books. I have always waited until a book is coming out to update my website. SEAMS LIKE MURDER comes out in May and GONE WITH THE WOOL comes out in July. I’d like to put them in my website well in advance of their release.

And then there’s my yarn stash and all the not finished projects. I would like to both use up a lot of the yarn and complete all the projects. I probably won’t succeed at either.

I have two books to write in the coming year. One has a title HOOKING FOR TROUBLE and one doesn’t have one yet. And since we have many more dinner seminars planned, I resolve to get even better at writing in restaurants. That will require me to get more adept at using the Mac laptop I bought at midnight on Thanksgiving in the madness at Best Buy.

I guess mostly I want to learn new things, do the best job I can at whatever I do and to keep expanding my horizons.

I can’t wait to see what the year ahead holds.

I'm with you, Betty. Last year went by very quickly. Sounds as if you're anticipating a busy and productive 2016. Happy New Year!

Last year went by in a flash for me, too. It is hard to improve everything when you're so busy. I haven't figured out my resolution for 2016 yet, and I think my best bet is to focus on one specific thing to improve.

My resolution from 2015 of win the Lottery jackpot didn't work out. Maybe I should have bought a ticket!

Good goals! What I would do with your yarn stash is crochet an afghan or two.

Linda, I knew I wasn't the only one who thought it went by fast.

Planner, you're right. It is hard to think about doing a better job when you are so intent on just keeping up with what you have to do.

Nancy, good idea about the afghan. The ones I like the best are the ones made up of all kinds of different colors.
