Spring

It has been a breathless week so I'm writing this on the fly.  Any minute someone is going to tell me its time to go and I have to jump into my business wear and rush out to work.

I always love it when people ask me for my writing process as if I have some kind of schedule or plan.  Ha!  The closet thing to scheduling writing is that I write in a journal every morning.  I jot down dreams and dilemmas.  Mornings and coffee do seem to inspire me and I often drift into thinking about my current project and ideas flow.  I tend to scribble down notes which unless I go to the computer with them right away get lost in the shuffle of papers.

Recently I got a series idea from something I read in the newspaper. Yes, I'm a dinosaur who still reads a paper version of the news.  I never give details since a hint from my father who was a writer was not to talk about anything you were working on because you need to keep the energy for the writing.  In other words if you talk about it, you might find that you fizzle out when you try to write it.

I am very excited about this new idea and while I was doing the grunt work of collating pages and stapling stuff for my son's business, my mind was on the idea.  I was flooded with thoughts flying in from all directions and stopped to scribble down some notes.

I got some exciting news on Monday that three more of the Crochet Mysteries are going to come out in audio.

Spring has sprung here.  The orange trees in my yard are loaded with fragrant blossoms.  Birds are taking the stuffing out of our outdoor chairs to use in their nests.  The grass is a spring green and the daylight goes on for a long time.

There is nothing boring about my life!
