Another Quarantine Blog

The good news is that I remembered it was Thursday when I write my blog.  For the past couple of weeks, I've totally forgotten and barely remembered to write it on Friday.

We’ve been on lock down for three weeks.  At least, that’s what I think.  Like everybody else, the days and weeks have seemed to melt together.  I’ve been stuck in the house with my family and so far no major arguments and mostly we’re getting along just fine.  I have been doing more cooking and baking which is a big hit with them.

It has taken a while, but I have gotten my writing groove back.  It was a real joy to spend time on the next Crochet Mystery this morning.  I know the characters so well that it was a lot easier than working on the second Writer for Hire Mystery.  I am still getting to know the characters and their relationships.

Of course, I’m not without lots of concerns.  There are lots of worries about then what when this situation ends.  Will we ever be able to mingle again?  Money, where’s is it going to come from?  What about travel?

But I try to stay cheerful.  I think about all that I’m grateful for.  I don’t watch the news all day or constantly read it on my phone.  The TV is still my electronic campfire when I sleep, but instead of leaving it on CNN as I used to, now I leave it on the Hallmark Channel.  When I wake up during the night I get a laugh at Lucy’s antics.  It makes for a much more restful night.

Someday all this will be a memory of something that happened.  In the meantime I’m doing my best to turn the time into something productive.

I am making masks for a convalescent home--a bit boring. Living alone is harder than ever at holiday time. No church, egg hunt, big family dinner.

So glad to hear there is a crochet book under way--it has been a long time. What ever happened to the strange guy who wanted Molly after she taught him how to date ? He sent flowers, but disappeared in the last book. I personally think it is time for some romance between Molly and Barry. He used to sneak into her house late at night, and the time he hopped in bed with her parents was hilarious. They have such chemistry. I feel Mason uses her as a fun mistress, since Jamie lives and travels with him.

Have a good holiday, sounds like you do have family locked in with you !
