Happier Days

Oops—sorry I’m late posting this.

I visited Universal Studios this week!  I live close enough that we frequently get season passes but haven’t been able to go there for a while thanks to the pandemic.  But it reopened, so we did the appropriate thing and made reservations and arrived a little late since we didn’t want to stay for the entire day.

So what did we see?  Well, we saw The Secret Life of Pets for the first time. It was fun!  We also saw Kung Fu Panda, somewhat fun but not as much. And we saw my favorite show: Animal Actors.  Real animals with real trainers doing lots of fun things—mostly dogs but also birds and more. Definitely made the park visit worthwhile, even though I didn’t get a lot of writing done that day.

I’ve also gotten a new version of Word. I was using a very old version before but some of my editors started having trouble with that. It was time. Now all I have to do is figure out how to use it.

Anyway, we’ve got May Gray weather here in L.A., but that doesn’t stop our dogs from wanting walks.

And now—well, I turned in an edited manuscript before getting the new Word loaded onto my computer. I’ll have more edits to work with soon, but I’ll also be writing a new story, the first one that’ll be all in the new Word.  Wish me luck!

I haven't been to the Universal park here for years, but we just went to the Universal Parks in Orlando. The big thrill for me was that they still have the ET ride.

I didn't know there was a new version of Word. I wish they'd leave well enough alone.

It is so good to get back to doing normal things even if they look a bit different. We traveled for the first time about two weeks ago through Southern Utah into Arizona. Visited Bryce Canyon and Zion Park. Absolutely gorgeous and crowded with people. Everyone seemed respectful of social distance. The weather was great. It was a perfect first travel experience after so many months.

Cheers!

PS: I'm with you on the new versions. Lets just stay with what works. :)

How fun that a Californian like you, Betty, visited the Universal Park in Orlando! I don't think I've been on an ET ride but maybe someday.

Your traveling sounds fun, Sally. Glad it worked out so well. I'm looking forward to doing some traveling soon tool.
