I’m busy right now, which is a good thing.
But I’m also having computer problems, and I’m so un-techie that I’m not sure how things will progress. At least I’m working on solutions. I have someone from the Geek Squad coming… soon, but not right away. Also, my main problem is with my old desktop, which I use most, but I also have a newer one and think I’ve figured out how to deal with my problems on that one, at least somewhat.
And so, I hope to finish the first draft of the manuscript I’m currently working on soon, then get to the final edits of another book that I need to complete.
Then there’s the fun of having my
current book available: HER UNDERCOVER REFUGE, the first in my new Shelter of
Secrets series for Harlequin Romantic Suspense. Things are different from how
they used to be, though, since I don’t have any signings planned, nor any
physical meetings of the local chapters of Romance Writers of America or other writing
organizations I belong to. I do let people know about it online, at least. Like
now! And I attend virtual meetings sometimes, too.
I’m still trying to deal with the loss of our wonderful older dog Mystie, of course. But our remaining pup Cari, also wonderful, is basking in all the additional attention she’s getting. Right now, she’s lying on a doggy bed beside me, snoring.
I’m also feeling a bit down because a wonderful neighbor we’ve been friends with for a long time just left for her move from L.A. to Texas. We know lots of people who are moving these days. It’s understandable, but it’s yet another thing to feel bad about.
Okay, enough of that. I’m getting
back to my manuscript now—and ignoring Cari’s snores.
