I haven't been on a computer much this past week, so I haven't gotten much editing done, and no writing, although I've done a little plotting.
Why? My husband and I left our California home and spent that time at the home of our older son, d-i-l, and two grandsons, who live in Indiana. Our son and d-i-l had a trip planned, and we were the babysitters!
Which was definitely fun. And time-consuming, especially since it snowed and blowed a lot there so their school was closed and they did their assignments online during the school days, often with me looking over the shoulder of the younger one.
And then they read their books to us. Plus, we got their meals ready and played with them a lot, and took them to various sports and parties.
So--writing? Not so much. Checking emails? A bit.
Home now, and missing them. Back with our dog, whom I missed, though we had great sitters. And I have started getting some work done--although when I returned to the computer I use the most it isn't recognizing the Word program I use.
Sigh. Time to go try again.

Grandkid sitting can be the most exhausting fun ever. Makes for some great memories for you and the kids.
Exhausting, yes, Sally. But loved it! And you're right about all the good memories.
It must have been fun to get a taste of winter and spend the time with your grandsons. I feel for you about having trouble with Word. So different from the old typewriter days when outside forces couldn't mess with your work. I love the ease of correcting and making changes on a computer, but all those pop up ads and the Microsoft browser that keep showing up are reminders that we are not in control of our computers.
The good thing, Betty, is that untechie me pulled out some notes and got on the internet and actually got the program to work. Could I do it again? Who knows? I don't really know what worked. And it definitely was fun to see the grandsons and see winter again, although lack of snow when I returned to LA felt good.
