And Another Week

Okay, I’ll admit it. I celebrated another birthday last week. It was enjoyable. My husband and I got together with more family for dinner, and I definitely had fun. Plus, I got lots of happy birthday wishes, including a bunch on Facebook!

As far as my writing goes, yes, I’m still working on my fourth Shelter of Secrets story for Harlequin Romantic Suspense and as I’ve said, I will be working on it for a while.

As I’ve also said, I’m still enjoying promoting my latest release, the third Shelter of Secrets story, UNDERCOVER COWBOY DEFENDER.

And no doubt about this: I’m still enjoying acting as a dog mama, as I always am. My two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Cari and Roxie, are my babies, and I love how well they get along together.

And can you believe it? Another month in 2023 is about to end. This year is going fast—well, they all do. But enjoy the rest of your March.

Good morning -- A belated Happy Birthday greeting to you. I have a birthday coming up in a couple weeks -- I'm probably old enough to be your mother!!

I was amazed at all the Cavalier King Charles spaniel items on the Walmart site -- lots of cute things. I was ordering some fabric to make children's quilts -- found some cute cartoon-y dog and cat prints. I do much more crocheting than quilting but like to have fabric for when the mood strikes. I do machine piecing and quilting -- my daughter does it all by hand. She recently finished a king-sized quilt -- she does beautiful work.

The weather here is gorgeous -- I sat on the patio yesterday with my crocheting -- felt so good to be outside. My patio has a northwest orientation so it's very nice until the late afternoon sun. Supposed to be 82 today -- perfect.

Enjoy your day -- I have a few household chores to do, then crocheting.

Me again -- Your book, "Alias Mommy" just arrived -- I order used books from Amazon -- always get those listed as very good or like new -- this one is in perfect condition. I'll start reading after lunch -- is there a dog in the story?

Linda, glad you had fun on your birthday. And yes, I'm astonished that another month has gone by. Hopefully it will take these atmospheric rivers with it.

I sincerely doubt you're old enough to be my mother, Patty. And sorry I didn't respond earlier but I was out of town. More about that in my next blog.

Since I'm addicted to Cavaliers I'm always buying more items showing them. I'll have to check out Walmart.

And I came home to good weather!

Enjoy your day and your crocheting.

Just read your second post, Patty. Thanks for ordering "Alias Mommy"! It's been a long time since I wrote that one and don't believe I included a dog, unfortunately, but you can always correct me if I'm wrong about that. Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks, Betty. As I mentioned above, I did return to some good weather, and sounds as if it may stay this way, at least for a while.

I'll be 86 on the 17th of this month -- does that qualify as old enough to be your mother?

There was no dog in "Alias Mommy" and I did enjoy it.
