My Mother's Days

Yes, last weekend was Mother’s Day. It was an enjoyable time—and the enjoyment spilled over to the next day too. On Sunday, I got a wonderful call from my older son ,d-i-l and two grandsons from their home in Indiana, wishing me a Happy Mother’s Day. I did the same to my d-i-l! And later, I received a call from my younger son, with similar wishes.

However, due to various reasons, we didn’t celebrate with a Mother’s Day dinner till the next day, with our younger son and his girlfriend. We went to the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen at Universal City Walk. Delightful company, and a wonderful dinner too, especially for chocoholic me.

The day before Mother’s Day was National Dog Mom’s Day, and I posted best wishes for all dog moms and other moms on my Facebook page over those two days.

And I’ve been writing too, mostly on my next Shelter of Secrets book for Harlequin Romantic Suspense. But I just received one more round of edits on my next Alaska Untamed Mystery. Plus, I’m writing an article about my pups, which might not go anywhere, but I couldn’t resist!

Hope all you moms and dog moms had wonderful, celebratory days last weekend!

Good morning -- Sounds like you had a very nice Mother's Day. I certainly did -- phone greetings from my daughter who lives in California, and lunch with my son and his family who are here in Phoenix. My son fixed his "World Famous Sandwich" for lunch -- turkey, provolone, avocado, lettuce and tomato on toasted sour dough bread -- delicious. My 13-year-old grandson wrote me the sweetest note. Your dinner sounds great -- chocolate is yummy!!

It's warming up here but so far, I haven't turned on the a/c -- just use a couple floor fans and that is working well. I don't mind being a bit warm as long as there is air circulating. I am definitely not a cold-weather person. My son says he remembers me as always having a sweater around my shoulders.

A week from Saturday is the next drop-off day for Project Linus -- I'll have a dozen crocheted blankets ready to go, a bit more than my goal of a blankets a week. The drop-off site is way across town so I go every other month.

I just read "A Glimpse of Forever" -- enjoyed it. I'm wondering -- do you and your husband pose for the cover shots? Woo, woo!!

Enjoy your day --

Good morning! Glad you had such a fun Mother's Day.

The temperature is warming in the afternoons here in LA, but there's still a bit of chill in the morning. Not too bad either way, at least not yet.

A dozen crocheted blankets? Wow! That's wonderful.

Glad you enjoyed "A Glimpse of Forever." And I'm not going to tell you if my husband and I pose for any cover shots. :)

Hope you enjoy your day too.
