Late

Oops.  I just realized that I didn't write my blog.  I have a time when I usually write it, but between another day of Santa Ana winds, finding out the prognosis for one of the cats, and trying to rework the order of things at the end of my manuscript away from my computer, forgot.

The wind has stopped and hopefully the bad kind of ions are gone.  The election is over and at least there will be no more of the endless ads.

And now to finally finish my manuscript.

Good morning -- You've had a lot going on. Those winds are really bad -- my daughter lives near Antioch and she said they had 70 mph wind gusts -- several outdoor activities had to be canceled because the tents were blowing away.

Hope your cat is okay -- cats seem to have more problems than dogs.

I spent time this morning ripping out about half of the afghan I'm making for my granddaughter -- didn't like the color sequence. I'm trying to match the stripes she's painted on the living room walls -- looks better in paint than yarn!!

Glad the election is over but not a bit happy with the results -- but life goes on and I'm trying to keep a positive attitude. My daughter made a Minnesota hotdish to eat as the results came in -- said it was far from authentic other than having tater tots and cheese on top but totally delicious.

Hope your manuscript changes are coming along well -- I'm ready to preorder!!

Enjoy your day --

Patty, the wind died down today, but we're supposed to get more in a couple of days. We didn't have gusts as bad as your daughters, but still the wind was unsettling. The cat's blood test came back without showing anything wrong. I think she was bothered by the wind. She seems back to herself.

You can't really tell how yarn is going to look until you start making something with it. It's better to unravel than to complete something you're not happy with.

I agree about the election. Life does go on and it is always better to have a positive attitude for yourself and those around you. I bet that hot dish was delicious.

It looks like MURDER BY THE HOOK will release in February or March.

I'm very happy this week is over and I'm concentrating on the holidays, crocheting, and reading. The election had me nervous and I'm not happy but realize there is nothing I can do but try to be the best person I can in my little corner of the world. Love thy neighbor and try to understand things from their perspective. Hope you have a peaceful weekend and a break from the winds. Cats are wonderful but I'm beginning to realize how sensitive they are. My cat just had to hide out during the hurricane. She is better now.

Sally, I couldn't agree with you more and it is exactly what I am trying to do. I really believe in the golden rule. The hurricane must have been scary for your cat. Buttercup (the cat who was not well) is very sensitive. She is really most bonded with my son and my husband. She doesn't meow and we don't know why. She came from a rescue who got her from a cat hoarder.

I'm glad your cat is okay. I'm with you in doing the best I can in my corner of the world. My friend just adopted two kittens from Best Friends, a no kill shelter. She named them Lord and Lady. They are brother and sister. They are almost 5 months old. There is nothing like holding a sleeping purring kitten in your lap.

Anonymous, Buttercup is back to her usual self. Lord and Lady sound adorable. There is always going to be stuff to deal with. You just have to keep going. One of our neighbors has a sign on their house that says Everything Will Be Alright. It makes me feel good every time i pass it.
