Yes, today is the last day of the fourth month of the year. It’s certainly going fast—as always.
And
yes, I attended the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books last weekend. Didn’t
sell a lot of books but certainly had fun seeing people and talking lots about
myself!
My
biggest news for the moment is that I’ll be featured for 15 minutes, starting
at 2 PM on Saturday, May 2, at the Charmed Writers Facebook page, during their
May Book Binge Weekend! I get to talk about my books again there, and lots of
other writers talk about theirs in their scheduled 15 minute slots. Check it
out!
Otherwise,
I’m still doing what I’ve mentioned here before: writing the second book in my
new series for Harlequin Romantic Suspense and researching a new idea.

Good morning -- It is hard to believer a quarter of the year is over -- time does fly.
I do have good news -- my daughter got two rescue dogs -- two little dogs who had been found tied to a fence behind a convenience store. They were taken to an animal shelter, then to a foster home where they'd been for a few months. They are some sort of terrier mix -- about two years old -- males. She says they are sweet as can be -- one is very laid back, the other a bit more hyper. They have a good home now.
I've been doing my usual crocheting -- my son was just here and asked if I had a blanket for a baby boy. Just happens I'm about to finish a blue blanket so he'll give it to his friend.
Enjoy your day, your writing, and your dogs.
What wonderful news about your daughter's rescue pups, Patty! They sound adorable, and it's so great that they now have a new, loving home. Give them a hug from me!
How appropriate that you happened to be crocheting a blue blanket when your son's friend needed one for his baby boy.
Enjoy your day and your crocheting. What's next--a pink blanket?
Actually, another blue blanket!! I have enough of the same yarn to make another -- I try to make blankets appropriate for boys and girls to give to the Ronald McDonald House -- already have three in girl colors.
That's so sweet, Patty!
I just noticed I said a quarter of the year is over -- it's actually a third!!
You're right! Wow!
It was crazy weather for the Festival of Books. I'm glad it went well for you. The Facebook appearance sounds great and you don't have to go anywhere.
I was fortunate to only be scheduled at booths on Sunday, Betty, so I missed the rain. And yes, staying at home but getting out there to communicate with people anyway is always fun!
