This is my first post in May. May is a good month for me. It contains my wedding anniversary, my husband’s birthday, the birthday of our older grandson—and my wonderful agent’s birthday.
I enjoyed the Charmed Writers Book
Binge that I mentioned last week. We were on focus for more than the original 15
minutes we were told, but that just meant I could share more about my writing
and my writing life. It was also fun to see others’ posts and comment on them.
I’m paused in writing the second
book in my new Harlequin Romantic Suspense series since I received my editor’s
comments and questions about the first one. I’m currently going over what she
said and starting my edits.
I also had a friend from Pittsburgh,
the city I’m from, visit briefly a couple of days ago. We sometimes exchange
holiday cards but hadn’t seen each other for decades! It was fun getting together.
And now… back to my edits—and, of
course, playing with my pups!

When I lived in the Midwest I would always be hopeful that May would bring spring weather. I was frequently disappointed. I'm thankful to live in Florida where I'm now enjoying beautiful spring weather every day. My view from the lanai is gorgeous. Thankful to be alive and enjoying this day. Cheers to you and happy weekend!
The weather in Pittsburgh as I was growing up was certainly different from what I experience today in Los Angeles, Sally, although it's been somewhat cooler here than usual this year. I hear that's about to change, though. Glad you're enjoying Florida and your view from the lanai. I have a great vista view of the San Fernando Valley where I live.
Happy Anniversary, and Happy Birthday to the boys!! My late husband's birthday was also in May.
You've been busy, as usual -- all good. I've been busy with yearly doctor, dentist and eye doctor appointments. All is well for this old lady!!
The weather here is a bit on the chilly side at the moment but 102 is predicted for the weekend.
My daughter told me her new dogs do have a naughty side -- they love to get in the trash and scatter it everywhere!! She usually leaves a trash basket setting in the kitchen, now it has to be behind closed doors. They are incredibly smart -- sit, stay, come using hand signals and they ring a bell by the door when they need to go out. Neo is a quirky one -- he loves to suck her finger and make little contented sounds. I guess that's the equivalent of sucking his thumb, if he had one!!
Enjoy the rest of your day and your pups.
Thanks, Patty!
Yes, I've been busy. Glad to hear you have been too--hopefully with all good appointments with your doctors.
It's warm this afternoon in L.A. and I gather we have a heat wave coming up.
Your daughter's new dogs sound adorable! Hope you get to see them and play with them.
Enjoy your day too!
