I’m sort of in-between with my writing at the moment. I’m finishing the edits on the first book in my new, upcoming Harlequin Romantic Suspense series that’s still called K-9s and PIs, which makes me happy, although that could still change. The timing means I haven’t currently been working on the second in that series, but I’ll get back to it soon.
Some of the audio books in my Kendra
Ballantyne, Pet-Sitter mystery series are now on sale since they’ve been out
for a year, and the publisher puts each on sale for a month as it reaches that
anniversary. (Check my Facebook page!) And the e-editions of my Nocturnes are
still getting out there, one at a time.
But I have no current writers’
meetings coming up or get-togethers with writer friends. Guess I’ll see how
busy June is. Yikes, next month is approaching fast!
But I’m definitely still keeping
busy, and if I dare to slow down my younger dog Roxie will squeak a toy at me
till I toss it, then bring it back so I can throw it again, her ongoing game.
In fact, here she is! Guess it’s
time to toss.

Good morning -- Sounds like a fun and busy time for you -- that's good!!
Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week at my daughter's school -- the teachers could each post a list of things they would like to have. She put school supplies and squeaky toys for her new dogs. She got 22 toys plus a subscription to Bark Box, which sends a treat box each month for a year!!
I'm continuing with my crocheting, as always, trying to use up some of my stash before buying more. I could go about a year without buying more yarn -- whether I will or not is another thing!!
Enjoy your day.
Sounds as if your daughter's teacher did well on Teacher Appreciation Week, or at least her dog did, Patty!
That sounds like a lot of yarn, but it never hurts to get more--especially since it sounds as if you use a lot.
Enjoy your day too!
This year seems to be on wings of lightening. It is speeding by so quickly. I have to keep reminding myself it is May and now we are even halfway through that month.
I do love to be busy but also find that I need a little more down time than I used to. I love that you are able to keep writing. What a creative mind you have. Hope the rest of your week is great.
Thanks, Sally. Writing is who I am, who I've always been, though I have to admit that I am writing more slowly these days. And my down time is often playing with my pups, as I'm sure you've figured. Enjoy the rest of your week too!
My daughter is the teacher who did well!! She's taught 4th grade for almost 40 years -- she's an amazing teacher. The kids love her. A couple years ago, she changed schools and the 3rd graders at her old school cried because they wouldn't be able to be in her class the next year.
That's wonderful, Patty! I'm sure there are a lot of former students who really appreciate your daughter--and new students who love learning from her!
