This past Monday has been on my mind a lot this week. It was World Nature Conservation Day this year, apparently an annual event—all about protecting our environment and parks and forests and rivers and the wildlife who lives in all of them. These days, when I hear of an interesting celebration day, I’ll often post something about it on my Facebook page—my most active social media account. I might bore those who are my friends there and see what I post when I do it so frequently, but I hope not. For this one, I saw a lot of good posts, but it took me a while to determine which one to share—I’m not good at creating them myself.
And the day stirred up the story
idea that’s been simmering, sometimes warmly and sometimes hot, inside my head.
It’s heated up this week! But I still don’t know when I’ll get to it.
I am still working on my Harlequin
Romantic Suspense story, though—of course. My mind’s on that a lot, and so’s my
computer!
My dogs are doing well this week,
demanding their usual amount of attention and seeming to be their playful and
snuggling selves.

Good morning -- My son and I were just yesterday talking about how there is a "National Something-or-Other" celebration every day of the year. He got lunch at WingStop and it was National Chicken Wing Day (or something like that!) and he got free piece with his order.
Glad your mind is busy with story ideas -- mine is always busy thinking about different ways to crochet a blanket.
Also glad your pups are doing well this week. My daughter hasn't gotten the DNA report on her dogs but I'll let you know when she does.
Enjoy your day.
Good morning, Patty. Yes, my computer has a button at the bottom nearly every day about what special day it happens to be, plus I see a lot of them on Facebook. I guess people like to particularly celebrate nearly everything at least once a year!
I hadn't realized there were so many different ways to crochet a blanket, but it's great that you're so creative about it.
And yes, I'll continue to look forward to the DNA report on your daughter's dogs!
My daughter got the DNA report on her dogs -- 63% chihuahua but a mixture of dachshund, toy poodle, Westlake terrier, Chinese crested and even a bit of Husky and Samoyed. They are extremely intelligent dogs and have adapted readily to living with her.
Wow, that's great, Patty! Just saw this. A great combo of genes, so I'm sure they're wonderful pups!
