I now have the name for my current miniseries for Harlequin Romantic Suspense: K-9 Crime Solvers. And the first story will be called Scent of Evidence. I love them both! I’m still working on the second book, currently called Property Justice. I did finish the first draft but it’s too long so I’m having the fun— or not— of cutting my own words.
The talk I participated in last
weekend at the Agoura Hills Library about Crime is Going to the Dogs--and Cats
was a lot of fun, although we didn’t get many audience members. I hope those
who came enjoyed it!
And the other event I mentioned that
happened nearby, the special event in celebration of the California Wildlife
Center, was enjoyable and inspirational. I’m still pondering the best way to
include more wildlife in perhaps a new series. Meanwhile, I keep watching out
my back window for various birds, including hummingbirds, crows and hawks, as
well as the squirrels who eat most of the fruit in our garden there. And yesterday, I saw a coyote stalking around
a Burbank neighborhood where I was with my exercise group. More inspiration for
a story someday.
