Well, I got a cast on my arm yesterday. My wrist is still broken and doesn’t feel great, but hopefully it’s improving. Did you know that some casts are no longer plaster but fiberglass? That’s mine. I’m now typing somewhat with both hands, but still slowly.
I’m
still thinking and plotting and looking forward to improvement—and hope to
start writing a little more this week. My husband probably has to remain my
chauffeur a while longer but that’s been working out okay so far. And both of
us play with and otherwise take care of the pups, as usual. Plus, there are
holiday parties going on, and a lot of people come over and ask what’s wrong with
my arm. So far, I haven’t used the creative part of my brain to come up with
something more interesting.
And
by the way, Happy Hanukkah!

Happy Hanukah! I guess no holiday baking or cooking for you. That could be a good thing. Now that I'm older I really don't take joy in baking and cooking anymore. I find Publix to be a good substitute for us. Plus I don't have to entertain at my house. My son and daughter prefer to host. I'm thankful. So my house is simply decorated and peace abounds. Wishing you a happy weekend and fast healing.
It sounds as if you have it all figured out, Sally! I'm not much of a cook these days either and don't even decorate much. But I still enjoy the holidays and getting together with family when possible. You have a happy weekend too!
It's great that you can type! I'm sure the experience with the cast will be useful in a book some day. In the meantime, I hope your wrist doesn't hurt.
Thanks, Betty. I'm still pretty sore, but it's improving. And I'm pondering a character who deals with this better than me!
