Happy April!

Yes, I remembered to post today. Happy April everyone! And since it’s no longer April First, this isn’t an April Fool’s joke.

What’s also not an April Fool’s joke is that CANINE REFUGE, the fifth and final story in my Shelter of Secrets series for Harlequin Romantic Suspense, has now been published. I’m letting people know, including holding a chat at Writerspace where I was interviewed. I think it’s available for re-playing but I’m not sure yet how to get it.

But I’m still out there letting people know about CANINE REFUGE, including sending out a newsletter soon. And hey, I’ve mentioned it here!

Unfortunately, my pup Roxie was sound asleep during my interview so I didn’t get a chance to show her off as I often do when I can online. My other pup Cari didn’t even show up while I was talking. Sigh.

Anyway, I’m sorry to see the Shelter of Secrets series end, but I like the new one I’ve been working on, with K-9s and PIs. More to come about that as time goes on.

Good morning -- Congratulations on your new book -- I've read a few of the series and enjoyed them.

The penguin movie sounds interesting -- I'll be on the lookout for it. Did you see "March of the Penguin" years ago -- that was so good.

I've been doing my usual crocheting -- lots of pretty yarn to use up.

Enjoy your day and your dogs.

Good morning, Patty. Thanks! I hope you enjoy this one too if you decide to read it.

We did see "Penguin Lessons" yesterday. It took place in a difficult time in Argentina's history, but the people were really relatable--and the penguin was almost a person! I did enjoy it. Unfortunately, I didn't see "March of the Penguins" but I'll bet I'd have liked it.

Enjoy your day and your crocheting!

Congratulations on your new book. What a great accomplishment. I'm sure Roxie though unaware of her fame is deserving. I only have a cat and sometimes she could care less about me and other times I'm her bestie.
Enjoy the rest of your week.

Thanks, Sally! The person who interviewed me got to see Roxie on Zoom before the interview began, but I guess that exhausted Roxie so she just slept. Both of our dogs demand lots of attention--Roxie in particular since she loves for us to throw toys for her to fetch.
Enjoy the rest of your week too!
