The Shirt Says It All

After a particularly draining day, I decided that I needed to do something for myself.  Something that would make me feel better and hopefully make me smile.

These days I dress for comfort first which mean stretchy pants and often a roomy T-shirt.  I have a collection of them that I wear. Some are thirty years old.  Some of my favorites came from the Art Institute in Chicago.  The day that I was feeling so worn out, I was wearing one that had the heading of History of Comedy and a bunch of caricatures of famous comedians.  It made me think of treating myself to a new T-shirt.

I went right to Amazon to see what they had to offer.  As soon as I saw the new rendition of the painting The Scream, I knew it was just what I was looking for.  It both expressed how I felt and made me laugh.  With a few clicks, it was only the way to me.

The thing about wearing T-shirts with sayings is that you're sharing something with whoever it views it.  It occurred to me that other people might get a smile when they saw the shirt.  A win-win.  It made me feel better and maybe I could pass it on.

We'll have to see what happens.
